Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Perfector is a velvety soft primer that is supposed to blur out imperfections while retaining the skin’s glow. It transforms from a balm to a powder upon application to soften the skin’s imperfections by creating a transparent yet subtle effect.
Let’s start with the packaging because it’s just so gorgeous. I really love the pink and gold colours, and it looks so chic. I would have bought it just for the packaging itself if I didn’t like the product at all. So, the primer can be used under makeup as well as to set makeup as an overall complexion perfector. I don’t like using it over my makeup, and I just use it as a primer.
When you apply it to your skin, the balm transforms into a powder and leaves the skin feeling velvety smooth. As for blurring out imperfections, it doesn’t blur out the pores as much as I would want it to. I usually use the Benefit Cosmetics Porefessional primer and I’m a little disappointed with the Touche Eclat Blur Perfector. But then again, it’s very lightweight coverage. The thing that I really like about this product is that it instantly absorbs oil from your skin and transforms your skin into a velvety soft texture. Also, it does not go over makeup well at all and that’s why I just ended up using it as a primer.
I really wanted this product to work and I had such high hopes and I typically love YSL. I have to say that it’s an alright product but of course, there are so many other primers that I don’t think I will be repurchasing it.
Have you used this primer? What are your thoughts on this product?
