The technique of baking is a key step to creating a flawless finish, while also ensuring a long-lasting makeup. Baking is when you take a generous amount of powder and apply it in the areas where you want to highlight/set your makeup in place! You leave it on for a couple of minutes before dusting away the excess powder with a brush. I like to use my damp beauty blender to set the powder and then lightly dust off the excess powder.
The Laura Mercier Translucent Setting powder has been my holy grail setting powder for so long. It’s my go-to for setting and baking my makeup! I really love all of Huda Beauty’s products starting from her lashes, lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes, highlighter palettes and especially her foundation. Oh, I just love the Faux Filter foundation so much! I was really excited about the launch of the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder. The photoshoot was so amazing and pretty! So, I finally got my hands on the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder in Banana Bread.
The Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder comes in 8 different shades packed with ultra-refined pigments, to ensure the right fit for all skin tones. The powders work to subtly colour correct and highlight different contours of the face, leaving a translucent veil of colour on your skin. I think this is the first time I have come across a brand that has released several shades in a loose powder to suit different skin tones and I think that’s amazing!
The Easy Bake Loose Powder is a setting and baking powder, perfectly curated for all skin tones to create an airbrushed, long-lasting complexion along with blurring the appearance of pores and fine lines.
Let’s start with the packaging. Honestly, I don’t really like the packaging of this setting powder. I think having the sifter is an advantage to not getting the powder all over. It’s just that it can be very challenging to get the product out through the mesh. I flip the jar and then tap to release the product out but it’s a bit hard to get the powder how I want it.
Onto the product, the powder is so finely milled without being dry, it literally goes on so smooth leaving my skin looking bright and radiant. It does not settle into my lines and brightens up the skin. The setting powder smells like the foundation, and I know a lot of people have been complaining about the smell, but I actually really love the smell! The smell is just so fricking delicious! 😍😍😍 I have been using the foundation for a while now (check out the review here), so the scent was not a surprise for me. Plus, I really like the smell.
The powder sets so nicely on my skin and looks so incredible. It makes my skin look smooth and my makeup lasts all day. I put it to test to see if there was any flashback and I’m so impressed with this powder! Totally no flashback and the powder is absolutely amazing!
Overall, The Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder has given baking a new meaning. It’s so perfect and looks flawless! I recommend this product with my eyes closed! ABSOLUTELY love this setting powder. I highly recommend this powder! I’m really obsessing over this right now!
Have you used this Powder? What are your thoughts on it?
