The beauty world has always been a huge passion of mine and I’ve always found it interesting that makeup can work for anyone in any way they want it to. There are some many beauty and skincare advices out there! I have been learning so much from the beauty blogs I read, and they have been helping me with my skincare routine and makeup application, and it makes life a little bit easier. Today, I’m going to share with you the beauty tips I totally swear by.
Beauty Tips I Swear By!
Wash My Makeup Brushes Once Every Week!
The first makeup tip I swear by is washing my makeup brushes and beauty sponges once every week. This is a total must for me. I always make some time to wash my brushes and it’s totally worth it. There’s literally so much dirt and bacteria that get stuck on your brushes. You don’t wanna risk ruining your skin — when brushes get dirty, it’s very natural that you might have a breakout! It’s really important to clean your makeup brushes at least once a week. For foundation brushes, I wash my foundation brush every time I use them. The reason is that a lot of bacteria and dirt and oils from our faces go into the brushes, and when you’re reusing the brushes without washing them, it’s just going back to your face. This can keep your skin healthy and reduce the risk of having a breakout too.
Regularly clean my pillowcases!
Your pillowcase might be the reason why you’re struggling with acne and breakouts! When we don’t wash our pillowcases on a regular basis, a buildup of dirt and oil from the skin and hair, and also the environment is transferred back to our skin. This can clog pores and cause blemishes.
So, I regularly clean my pillowcases to avoid pimple struggles and have a clear skin! I deep clean my pillowcases at least once a week. This really helps a lot and I saw a drastic improvement in my skin since I started doing this.
Don’t wash my hair every day!
I really wish I knew this and started doing this earlier in my life. It’s been a while now, and I don’t wash my hair every day. Maybe two or three times a week, but not every day! I know it can be totally tempting to shampoo and condition hair each and every day, especially if your hair becomes greasy. But the thing is that, when we do that, it strips the scalp of many essential oils and can impact the texture of your hair along with drying it out. This really keeps the hair healthy and shiny. You just need to leave your hair alone! Literally. Like, don’t use water on your hair every day, or keep using all kinds of chemical products. Trust me, this is totally worth it. I can feel my hair being a lot less dry and my hair-fall has reduced so much.
I can go 3-4 days, but it gets a bit greasy so I have been using a dry shampoo and it totally does the work! Don’t wash your hair every day and leave it alone, and your hair will thank you for that! I definitely swear by this, and I would recommend you to do this too!
Go big on powder!
No matter what, perfecting your powder game is a must be it any season! Use enough powder to cover and set your foundation and concealers. This really goes a long way and is a very important step. Also, you can try applying translucent powder with an eyeshadow blending brush. Usually, for a day to day basis, all you need is putting on powder to mattify your skin in certain areas only. I definitely swear by this beauty tip as this really helps a lot!
